Another World - Infinity Entwined by Anne Apfel

The song "Another World"  comes right after the poem "Love" and right before the Poem "Magic Hands," in the book Infinity Entwined written by Anne Apfel. It was originally the second song in the book adding an operatic tone to the ghostly prose, before the song "Lovers Lane" was added between the Poems "Dancing Star" and " Feeling Wanting," giving the book four songs instead of three.

The song "Another World," takes us back in time in an operatic style narration of the dream where the heroin of our story is singing to a star that is her beloved, hoping and praying that her spirit will find his and they will be together if not in the body then in heaven or in a heaven they can create together on earth if he is indeed alive and living. The ligature begins with a brevis and ends with a longa giving it both propriety and perfection allowing the song to take us back in musical time three hundred years.
